To control department scheduling and downtime of equipment, assuring maximum consumer service through effective preventive maintenance. Ensure vehicles comply with all state and federal regulations.

To provide timely, efficient, and reliable service in the vehicle and hydraulic equipment repairs and maintenance. To control department scheduling and downtime of equipment, assuring maximum consumer service through effective preventive maintenance. Ensure vehicles comply with all state and federal regulations.
Principal Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, lubricating equipment and machinery.
- Familiar with diesel and gasoline powered engines.
- Perform maintenance and repairs of the entire fleet.
- Conducts preventive maintenance programs on all digger derricks, bucket trucks, pickups, and cars maximizing longevity.
- Ensures that all work areas assigned are neat, clean, safe, in orderly condition, and free of recognizable hazards.
- Remains familiar with parts catalogs and up to date with the latest methods and procedures in the performance of the job through self-study of available manuals or other available training.
- Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, precision instruments, pneumatic wrenches, jacks and hoists.
- Maintains service and repair records for vehicles and equipment.
- Maintains equipment and areas in a clean and orderly condition, continuously observes company safety rules and practices, checks the condition of safety equipment, attends scheduled safety meetings, participates in artificial respiration practice as required, and becomes familiar with safety manuals, rules, and special procedures prescribed by the company.
- Must provide your own basic hand tools.
